Stella Learning Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was established in 2013 and is the first autism and related disorders learning center within the Tri-Parish area.  Our primary mission is to improve the lives of individuals with autism and related disabilities through the provision of high quality, accessible educational programs designed to enhance the individuals’ opportunities to achieve their full potential.  As a publicly supported organization, Stella Learning Center is primarily sustained through contributions from the general public and/or support from governmental units. Stella Learning Center actively fundraises year-round to support the ongoing costs of its organization including class resources, materials, and salaries for teachers.

However, we are in need of so much more!  We would like a larger facility with more classrooms to educate more children.  We need a playground with adapted equipment.  SLC would like to see the growth and development of the school to include a Food Technology Room, Sensory Room, Soft Play Room, Art Room and a Daily Living Skills Room.  Through the program of fundraising and networking, more children can benefit from the work we do.
